Here are some Baby Care options available for Infant Sims: Using the Baby Care menu will open up tons of options for interacting or caring for your Infant Sim. On the flip side, if all needs are met for an Infant, they form an attachment with their caregivers.
If an Infant is left crying for too long or does not have their needs met, the Infant will feel neglected. Your Sims can also pick up and keep hold of Infants while they perform other actions, and will automatically care for the baby if it begins crying, making the gameplay experience much more streamlined. Sims will be able to pick up Infants, feed and breastfeed, bathe, and play with your Infant Sims. Your Sims can now interact with Infants in a more meaningful way. For example, an Infant with the Cautious Trait might be less likely to enjoy new baby foods at first. These traits will impact how your Infant interacts and reacts to their enviroment in Sims 4. Upon aging into a Newborn into an Infant, you can choose between six Traits for your Sim:
Sims can have babies with the power of science! They can now ask others to use a mix of their genetic material to create new life. If your Sim doesn’t want to adopt or want to (or can’t) go through a pregnancy, they now have a brand new option. Newborns will age up into Infants on their own, but you can also Age Up Newborns early into an Infant Sim. Now that Infancy is Life Stage in every Sims journey, the Newborn Life Stage timeframe has been shortened considerably.
